Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Lod, Israel, Chakratec is working with leading energy, automotive and real estate companies to deploy first-of-their-kind kinetic-powered EV charging stations globally.

Avi Cohen

Executive Chairman

Avi Cohen is a seasoned business leader and an accomplished executive, CEO and director with extensive business management experience in public and private companies in Israel and abroad as well as in social organizations. In addition to Chakratec, Avi currently serves as chairman of Xjet and Fintica as well as as board member of Nova, Cortica and CGS Tower Networks. In addition he serves as Chairman of the Joint ELKA advisory committee and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Beit Issie Shapiro. Avi served as CEO of public companies like RR Media and Orbit Technologies and as an executive at ECI Telecom and KLA in Israel and in the US. Mr. Cohen holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and applied physics from Case Western Reserve University, USA.

Boaz Weizer

CEO

Boaz is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of management experience, leading Business, R&D, and operations. Prior to joining Chakratec, Boaz held VP positions at Elbit Systems, a global defense technology company – leading successful business segments and a significant highly technological R&D organization. Prior to that Boaz led an innovative automotive startup business unit to a successful spin-off. He is a graduate of the Israeli Naval Academy and served as a submarine’s Officer and Chief Engineer. Boaz holds an MBA and a B.Sc. EE from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

Ilan Ben-David

Co-founder & CTO

Ilan is a seasoned entrepreneur with executive track record. Before founding Chakratec, Ilan co-founded Genoa Color Technologies a display semiconductor company and successfully led the company as a CEO for 12 years. Prior to that, Ilan held several senior executive positions in the electronic printing industry. Ilan served in the prestigious 8200 IDF unit, he is the inventor of more than 20 patents families and holds a B.Sc. ME and a M.Sc. EE from Tel-Aviv University.

David Pincu

Co-founder & VP R&D

David has more than 23 years of experience as VP R&D of innovative and successful companies in the fields of Telecom, Datacom and Mixed signal IC’s. David served as VP R&D of AMSG Division of Microsemi Inc.. (Nasdaq: MSCC),after it acquired PowerDsine Ltd. , in which David had a major role in making it a world leader in POE – Power over Ethernet. Prior to that, he served as VP R&D of RITTechnologies Ltd. (Nasdaq RITT). David served in the prestigious 8200 IDF unit. He is the inventor of more than 20 patent families and holds a B.Sc. EE from Tel-Aviv University.

Nir Zohar

Co-founder & Chief Customer Officer

Nir is a Business, Sales, Delivery and Operations Leader with extensive experience in multinational project execution and management. Prior to founding CHAKRATEC he held several senior executive positions at Starhome and Comverse, in the last of them he served as VP of Global Operations, Delivery and Customer Support. Nir served together with his founding team members in the 8200 unit of the IDF. He holds an MBA and a B.Sc. EE from Tel-Aviv University.

Jordan Buchler

COO

Jordan is a seasoned operations executive with decades of experience in the public and private sectors forming, leading and scaling high-performing organizations. He joined Chakratec as our Chief Operating Officer in early 2021. Prior to joining Chakratec, Jordan was EVP Global Operations at Paramount Enterprises International. Prior to that he was VP Global Operations at WeissBeerger Beverage Analytics (acquired by AB-InBev in 2018) and founding executive and General Manager of the Ethiopian Maritime Training Institute. Before EMTI, Jordan spent 10 years in the military and 20 years in senior civil service leadership positions. He earned his Executive MBA from Ben Gurion University and a BSc in ME from Tel Aviv University.

Shmulik Tamir

CFO

Shmulik joined Chakratec Ltd. As CFO. In August 2019. Shmulik is responsible for the preparation of the financial statements, including budgets and cash flow analysis, and Israeli and national tax returns, which address the tax issues and manage the financial reporting. Prior to his appointment at Chakratec Ltd., Shmulik served as CFO in other companies in several industries. Shmulik began his career at PWC Israel, and left as a senior manager after nine years of auditing of international companies in Israel and abroad, in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. In addition, he was a partner in issues on stock exchanges in London and in Israel. Shmulik is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BA in Economics, Accountancy, Rupin Academy, Israel.
