TECHNOLOGY

Chakratec’s solutions stores electricity as kinetic energy in a fast-rotating flywheel. This multi-patented technology presents two major advantages: Unlimited high-power charge and discharge cycles (more than 200,000) without degradation over the full system lifetime of 20 years. In addition, being based on a a non-chemical flywheel makes the system green and reusable as opposed to toxic and polluting chemical batteries. Moreover, chemical rechargeable batteries are not economical due to the high amount of cycles needed and therefore they degrade quickly in demanding applications such as fast EV charging.
